BIOGRAPHY:

What to say about Moose?  Moose is a loveable mess. He is an adult neutered chihuahua. Weighs about 10 pounds and is approximately 8 years old. He was rescued from a very bad situation where it is obvious, he wasn't treated well. Moose has serious trust issues. Upon arrival to foster care, he spent the first 3 days cowering and growling and snarling whenever people approached. It didn't take long using a calm, consistent approach that Moose became my little shadow. Moose has the sweetest face and at times his eyes smile but there still is fear and uncertainty.

 

Moose is neutered and up to date on his vaccines. He had a very overdue dental and has lost most of his teeth (but his breath sure smells a whole lot better.) He has one left in the front which keeps his tongue from hanging out too much. He would not be good with children. He would do best contained or crated when sleeping or home alone. 

 

He mostly ignores the cats and gets along with the other household dogs, except for the dachshund. He HATES her and makes sure everyone knows it. She is very pushy, and I think Moose feels intimidated by her. I think if Moose finds his "forever" person he will become a wonderful companion. He will need a patient and experienced adopter to love him despite his quirks.
