BIOGRAPHY:

Meet Marley!! Despite being 10 years old, Marley is a baby. He loves being held and is happy to be carried around and played with like a babydoll. He likes to spend his time lounging around or following his foster parents through the house, although he gets bursts of energy (normally after a nap!) where he loves to prance around joyously.

He was brought to SGF after his elderly OWNER could no longer care for him and has been living happily in a foster home with cats and dogs. Marley LOVES other dogs and likes to show this by licking them, so any future doggie-siblings would have to be tolerant of him. He is crate trained and about 80% housetrained, only having issues if he isn’t taken out soon enough after being let out of his crate. He is quiet besides a little barking/howling when his favorite person leaves.

Marley was born with a deformed front paw, but he is very good at getting around! He can run, jump, go up and down stairs, he just can’t do big jumps like onto a couch. He takes a pill every day to ease the symptoms of some mild arthritis, which he easily takes with a treat. Marley also has an enlarged heart, meaning he has extra love! It also means that he has a grade 5/6 heart murmur. His condition needs further monitoring and would have to be discussed thoroughly with an adopter, but despite this issue he is very happy and lovable. He is ready to find his furever home and give all his love to a family!

Marley is stable and healthy, but with his enlarged heart and murmur, there is no telling how much time he has left. We want him to have the best life he can in a forever home. SGF does not require an adoption fee for Marley but is suggesting an adoption donation of $100.00.
