BIOGRAPHY:

Chewy is a 4-year-old, 10-pound Shih tzu. He gets along very well with other dogs and children but has not been around any cats.

 

Chewy came from a breeding kennel, where he was used as a stud. Because of that, he is extremely scared and timid… but he WANTS to be a social pup! His tale is always wagging, and he loves to be held once you can get to him! He needs time to get used to human affection and to get used to living in a home and not a cage… but he will get there!! His foster moms 3 kids love to hold him and pass him around… and he loves to run with their pup in the fenced in backyard! 

Chewy is not potty trained. His foster family has been using a belly band due to marking indoors. We are hoping this subsides now that he was recently neutered. He is a smart pup and has taken to living in a home very well! Chewy is crate trained and prefers to sleep in his crate.  When they leave the house, he free roams on the first floor with the other pup. He sleeps in the crate at night. Chewy has only gone on a few walks and is not used to walking on a leash. He  likes it but doesn’t really understand what to do quite yet. 

Chewy is a very QUIET pup… he doesn’t bark (so far) or really make any noise at all! He likes to be around people and loves to chew on his toys. He’s already starting to love cuddles. He will make a great addition to any family!
 

Chewy is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and had a dental cleaning.  He is fostered in Columbus, OH and is available for an adoption fee of $400.00.  If you are interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.sophiasgracefoundation.org
