BIOGRAPHY

Meet Rosita

Rosita is around three years old and is a sugary and spicy little chalupa. She loves hard but can take a bit to warm up to new people - especially men.  She’s been known to go after ankles but takes correction well and needs reassurance as she’s so little. She comes out fast and strong since everything, and everyone is so big to her!

When not vying for a spot snuggled up tight next to you, Rosita is very curious about anything and everything. She experiences quite a bit through sniffing and exploring on her walks.   While she enjoys the company of other dogs of any size, she needs slow introductions and a human to guide her through appropriate greetings and interactions. She is very fast and has a great deal of energy, so she would probably do best with an active person or family.

She is quite the car traveler and the perfect size to be your next road warrior companion. She does well with going potty outside but has had a handful of accidents and has peed on a blanket in her crate every time she’s crated. Foster mom has begun leaving her out of the crate when she leaves the house and she has done well other than scratching on the door when she first leaves. She typically looks for her for a minute and then settles into a nap on the couch. Foster mom has not come home to any potty accidents or destruction of property.

Rosita is truly the sweetest little girl once she trusts you and wants nothing more than to be with you.  She sleeps soundly through the night curled up next to foster mom tucked tight under the blankets, so big bed privileges are a must!

Rosita is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She is being fostered in York, Pa and is available for an adoption fee of $450.00.
