Meet Pork Chop!
This little guy has been through a lot in his 5 years on this earth, but he is very tough! Pork Chop was rehomed to his current mom about two years ago. He has had two back surgeries from IVDD in 2021 (which caused his back legs to go paralyzed twice). However, he’s made a FULL recovery and is in good health. He’s very playful and has a lot of energy but loves to lay around too from time to time. In typical dachshund fashion, Pork is protective over his owner, and it will take him a minute to warm up to new people. Porky passes the Camp Bow Wow temperament test (so he’s good around dogs his size in that setting) HOWEVER, for some reason he shows fear aggression towards other dogs (of all sizes) and people while on walks.  He’s also not a big fan of strangers in his house either (who is), but that is par for the course for a lot of dachshunds. But once Porky warms up to you, he is very loyal and loving.

Since Pork Chop has a history of IVDD, he will only be available to a dachshund-savvy adopter who understands the disease and the importance of continuing with preventative measures to limit the chances of another occurrence, which of course means, no jumping and no stairs!

Pork Chop is in Freedom, PA and is available for adoption fee of 375.00
