BIOGRAPHY
Meet Baxter!
This adorable little boy was found as a stray and was taken to the Franklin County Dog Shelter in Columbus, Ohio. He was fearful at the shelter, so Sophia’s Grace Foundation stepped in to rescue him. We are not certain of his breed, but best guess is Chihuahua/Pomeranian Mix.
Since going to his foster home, Baxter has blossomed. He loves to sit by your feet if you are working and sit by your side if you are hanging out. He loves belly rubs. He is playful, though he plays more like a cat than a dog. He gets the zoomies while running around the backyard, though it also makes him sneeze. Baxter is timid when meeting new people but warms up quickly. He does not currently have foster siblings, but the shelter staff said he does well with other small dogs.
Baxter is reactive while out for walks due to excitement. He will bark at people and just about anything that moves. His foster is trying to address this issue and is making slow progress. Baxter’s ideal home would be a quiet place with a patient human who can work with him on his outdoor reactivity. He can be shy and does not like loud noises, so a hectic home with small children would not be ideal.
Baxter is current on all vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and heartworm negative. He is currently being fostered in Columbus, OH and his adoption fee is $400.00.
